What's been your worst experience at a restaurant?
Since I've worked in the restaurant business for over ten years, I have many stories. Of course, I have a different perspective than a diner would have. I'll give you an overview of my past ten + years. I've had people be racist with me, not tip (on expensive checks, too), be rude, and have been treated like if I'm a piece of dirt. I've also had a manager call me stupid (I almost kicked his ass). The worst is having people just be mean for no apparent reason. I just want to smash their face into their hot food and hope that he or she would emerge with blisters on his/her face (I know, I could be a bit drastic at times).

Baby Boucle Hat
I crocheted this little hat over the weekend. It took me a total of an hour to make, but since I have a newborn that translated into two days of work. Anyway, I found the other hat I'm knitting in one of the boxes and actually was able to squeeze some time last night to knit (I just moved in case I hadn't mentioned it). Hopefully, I'll be able to post a picture of it soon!

Vox Hunt: Arts & Crafts - I Made This
Show us something you made by hand.
Although this picture isn't great (the color isn't even close), this is a little makeup bag. This was my first felted project and I'm very proud of it. There's not much to it. It only has one snap on button and I throw in some lipsticks and my compact in there. It's small and fits in pretty much any of my purses.

My Brand New Baby with His Crocheted Hat!
Here's my brand new baby boy sporting his crocheted hat! I started this hat about one or two days before I went into labor and finished it two nights ago. He's seems to not mind it at all!

I've Got Some Crocheted Booties!
I just finished crocheting these little booties for Will! The pattern was a bit difficult at first. There was some unraveling done. Once I got to the second booty, I had no problems with it. I might make more in different colors, especially since they're relatively easy and fast to make. As of right now, I want to make good use of the blue yarn I have. My next project will be a baby hat for my little guy.

I did it!
I had to show you guys my first jacket. I began this project on July 22 and mostly did on the subway ride to and from work. I finished it this morning (well sewing all the parts together). All I need to add to it are the button loops and buttons. That will have to wait until tomorrow when I'll have a chance to go to the store and get them. This jacket is very special to me besides it being the first I make because it's for my little son of whom I'm waiting for to be born any day now. As of tomorrow I'll be 38 weeks! Wish me luck on that.
